
The Massachusetts Bar Foundation's 2022 Grantee Receptions are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Springfield and Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Boston. Michelle Bugbee, Esq., of Eastman Chemical Company will receive the President’s Award in Springfield, and Nutter will be recognized in Boston.
In addition to the President’s Awards, the MBF will be celebrating 25 years of its Legal Intern Fellowship Program (LIFP). Established in 1996, the program has funded 130 students at 36 legal aid organizations across the state in hopes of encouraging a future generation of public interest attorneys. MBF LIFP alums Molly Jane Thoms (2021) and Helene Busby (2006), both of Community Legal Aid, will speak in Springfield and Mariatu Okonofua (2022), a 3L at Boston College Law School, will speak in Boston.
