Due to the increased number of inquiries from the public, the Massachusetts Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service Committee recently approved the addition of two new practice codes for LRS panel members:
- Consumer (CO) — CSCF — Cyber Fraud/Internet Fraud: Legal issues involved with cyber fraud or misrepresentations in online interactions
- Real Estate (RE) — Real Estate Cyber Fraud/Internet Fraud: Legal issues involved with cyber fraud or misrepresentations in real estate transactions.

If you handle these types of matters (or other legal practice areas) and would like to join the LRS, you can complete
a separate application form. Additionally, in order to join the LRS program, you must be in good standing with the Board of Bar Overseers and provide proof of insurance by forwarding a Certificate of Insurance from your current professional liability insurance carrier. The cost of joining LRS is either $100 or $150, depending on how long you have been admitted to practice.
