  • On April 16, MBA Executive Management Board member Peter Elikann appeared on Boston 25 News and NECN to discuss the challenging of finding an impartial jury in the trial of Karen Read, who is accused of killing Boston police officer John O'Keefe. Elikann was also interviewed by Boston 25 News on April 15 to preview the start of jury selection.

  • "Prevailing attorney denied appeal bond in law firm breakup," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (April 15). MBA member Benjamin J. Wish commented on a Superior Court judge's decision that a lawyer who prevailed on a breach-of-contract claim stemming from the breakup of his firm is not entitled to an appeal bond as additional security for his money judgment against his former partner. 

  • "Responding to threat of lawsuit, MCAD begs patience," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (April 15). MBA member David E. Belfort discussed the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination's response to a threat of legal action over its struggles to complete investigations in a timely manner.

  • "Judge issues warning in halving lawyer’s fee request," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (April 15). MBA member Andrew P. Botti was quoted in an article about a federal judge's warning to an attorney whose billing practices have come under scrutiny.

  • "Trial Court’s chief justice among women’s history month honorees," Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (April 15). Trial Court Chief Justice Heidi E. Brieger, an MBA member, was pictured at the 4th Annual Massachusetts Trial Court Women’s History Month Celebration and Conference, where she was honored alongside five other women leaders.

  • "Family of Groveland teen beaten to death with baseball bat fighting against killer’s parole," Boston 25 News (April 12). MBA Executive Management Board member Peter Elikann was interviewed about the parole hearing of a man convicted at age 16 of first-degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend.
